Stanley Spotlight will not hold charge - Stanley Tools. 1M Series Spotlight, Model: SL1M09

Dear Sirs,
I bought a Stanley 1m Series Spotlight for my boat. I beleive I bought this item in 2009.
Model: SL 1m09. I may have used this four or five times. I have never left this on the boat, never hit the water (I have an enclosed cabin). I went to charge the light and it won't hold a charge. I like the Stanley products but I am disappointed in this product.
