Ripped off by Expedia - False Advertising!
In May I reserved 3 rooms at a Comfort Inn for a family reunion. Unknowingly I booked through Expedia - [the name was not obvious on the Web site.] When I checked out of the hotel the bill receipt was $60.00 less than my "LOWEST (locked in) rate" on my Expedia bill!
After I got home I spent almost an hour trying to get through to "Customer Care" - which only has a recording. I finally got through by
going through new reservations (which obviously had dealt with the problem before!) I was told by the rep that the Hotel made the mistake by giving us a receipt that differed from their charge! They expect the Hotel to aid them in ripping people off - after all how will they make a profit it they don't lie to & cheat people?
After I threatened to post this on the Web I was allowed to speak to a manager, who gave me a 10% credit... About half the over-charge.

Expedia said that in order to be refunded I had to make all changes before I checked out of the hotel - which means that I would have spent an hour in the lobby with my elderly parents straightening out the mess!
FRAUD: In addition the hotel told me that Expedia had not given me the best rate in the first place...?

BEWARE: The manager I talked to said I was lucky to get 10% back, because they usually don't give ANY refunds after you check out...!
