We are a low income family and qualified for weatherization of our home which consisted of new windows, back door, fixed ceilings do to leaks from a storm, smoke detectors, carbon monixde and weather stipped the front door, and insultation in the walls. At this time the crew arrived on the 12th of june until the 14th, it consisted of a crew of 4 men. We had to stay outside for the three days do to the dust and debris, my husband had eye sirgery and i had breast cancer. We had hidden in a upstairs bedroom in the dresser the money of $5100. That we borrowed and must pay back. One of the men we aren't sure which one did it ransacked through the drawers and took out $3,85.00. The money was separated in $100 dollar bills and their was another envelope with my husbands disability check rubberbanded together. He only gets $1000 a month and after taxes he clears $764.00 and i receive $535.00 a month social security. I am a senior he is going to have to retire on disability do to his eye injury. We noticed the next day on the 15th of june the money missing, we immediatley contacted the company and informed that we had to contact the police, they said do whatever you have to do. Two uniformed poiceman came and took the report outside on the porch didn't even come in the house. The next day two detectives showed up and did nothing, they informed us we had no video or didn't catch them doing it. Do you think if we caught them we would have let them walk out. And since when is it necessary to have a video camera in your bedroom. We think they planted one because there is a small hole in our crown molding a spackle over there that doesn't belong there on the wall. Also the blue tape they use for ceilings were found in the drawer, i spoke with a ms. Evi blaikie and she was nasty and said the did an internal investigation and didn't tell me what that entails, and couldn't answer how their tape was found in the dresser drawer, no prints were taken or anything. They flatly refused to attend community mediation which was scheduled for july 2. They also refuse to let us speak with mr. Richard cherry the ceo and president of the company.
