Cannot configure phone - at&t U-verse bundle

I switched my tv, home phone and internet service to bundle it with at&t u-verse on 11/11.
I have tried on numerous occasions to speak with a representative to correct a configuration issue with my original "home phone number" The phone will not recognize incoming calls, does not ring and goes to the old voice-mail message.
Each time I speak with a customer service rep or technician, I am kept waiting for around an hour and a half, while being assured they will call back on my cell # if disconnected. This has happened several times daily for the past 3 days. The problem is never resolved. I am very tired of hearing "just bear with me" - my call being dropped and the person with whom I have been dealing in order to resolve the issue, does not call back on the number specified as I was assured. I have been very patient.

Sloppy, customer service. I have wasted so much time on this one issue.
Today, I had to call again to have my email switched over from DSL to U-verse. I was not informed that I would have to do this and again spent approx 1 and a half - 2 hours trying to resolve the now 2 issues. The rep was able to transfer it over - then I was placed on hold to reach another department to resolve the initial issue about home phone. I was assured that I was about to be connected... I waited another half hour and then the call disconnected.
The U-verse service itself is shaky - the connection is lost on the T. V every 25 mins or so for about 10 mins. I have tried every troubleshooting possibility myself and it has not fixed anything. I would try to call customer service to help try to resolve this added issue but I am weary of spending so much time on the phone, the call being dropped or the issue remaining unresolved.
I was also informed by my installation tech that none of the channels are in HD and I would need to call sales dept. To upgrade. The sales rep assured me at the time that everything would be switched over to HD - that is why I made the call in the first place instead of staying with Direct T. V!!!

I am utterly in shock at how sloppy the whole thing is. Unless these areas can be resolved quickly I will be switching back to my original services.
