Kanawha Charleston Humane Association Animal Shelter located at 1248 Greenbrier St. Charleston Wva. On September 20th the said facility sold a 4 year old Aust. Cattle mix male for 72.00. I paid cash for the adoption and the facility put Don Baley down as the adoptor. Mr. Baley and I had left the facility with the adopted pet It was 8 miles to our destination while the pet vomit In the back seat of my car and again In our neighboors back yard and again when we reached Mr. Baly's house. That evening Mr. Baley called me and told me that Chestnut the adopted pet was sick and would not drink or eat and did vomit through out the evening. I told Mr. Baley that we would take him to the vet at North Gateway Hospital the next day. The vet tested Chestnut for Parvo and the testing came back positive for parvo. The test cost 39.95 and I paid for that In cash I have the receipts. The hospital demanded partial payment up front before treatment started and paid In full on the discharge date which came to 439.55 I did pay with cash on September 24th. I confronted this place of Business about selling a diseased dog and their responce was that the dog got sick after the sale and that I was not entitled to a refund that all sales are final.
