An Indian calling himself Ron Williams and allegedly phoning from 64 9 9515832 indicating that it was Microsoft Service Centre calling. He indicated that my computer had been hacked and this centre was seeking to solve security problems. Rows and rows of errors were 'projected' on to my screen. He handed me over to a technician called Harris who took over control of my computer to solve the problem.
I was stressed at the time by my wife repeatedly calling me to dinner. The moment dinner finished I realised that I had been a trusting fool.
Although the date above was indicated in my credit card account, the transaction was debited on 07/16. I informed PayPal and my bank to alert them and cancel the credit card to avert further scamming.
