I booked one nights stay @ the Premier Inn Dover, England, believing I had booked direct with the Hotel on line. When my bank statement came in COMPLETESAVE had debited my account by £10. I immediately Phoned them on Freephone 0800 389 6960
& was assured that the company was affiliated to Premier Inn & I had contracted to payCompletelsave £10 a month membership for some sort of discount club...
I said that i had no knowledge of this & demanded my membership be cancelled with immediate effect. I was given a cancellation number & told my membership had been terminated with immediate effect as requested.
310 out of pocket but it could have been a lot worse. I will watch future bank statements closely
