I joined MCI's The Neighborhood, and thought I was keeping my International coverage with AT&T, only $0.9 per minute to St Petersburg, Russia. I would never have joined The Neighborhood had I know it took over my International coverage as well. Why would anybody, in ther right mind, choose $0.33 per minute or $0.9 per minute.
On their web site and in their advertising, nothing about International coverage only Local and Domestic Long Distance. If you sign up for AT&T and do not choose an International plan, your are warned about the International charges that will apply, not so with MCI The Neighborhood. When I received the first bill, a call to St Petersburg to 121 minutes for $841.00, That comes $6.95 per minute.
Sounds like a great way to keep from going bankrupt. Just take your customers to the cleaners. I have complained, they told me I had to pay and sent it to a collection agency. The California PUC never contacted, though they sent a letter saying they would. I sent a letter of dispute MCI, they just changed collection agencies and kept going. Don't get ripped off, The Neighborhood sucks!
