Ripoff Fired for reason of the quickest way to fix the problem

I am writing this report to let people know the practices companies use regarding a employee who dedicated a lot of time and energy it this company.

We were putting in between 50-75 hours a week because of the need of parts for shipment. One Saturday there was an altercation between me and another employee. Which was probably cause by the amount of hours we had been working together.

One of the other employees ask me to come down the line because a question they asked me if I was coming in early tommorrow and I said as far as I know. They proceeded to tell me I was a liar and I was full of $^*#. Which I'll admit went all over me and made me angry. Then my line leader came by and told me to that Sunday morning off to come in at 7:00 instead of 3:30AM.

Well the other employee just kept on and on making sarcastic remarks toward me, then we were involved in a verbal altercation and instead of letting it go on and on I had a part in my hand and there was a table in front of me i tossed the part down on the table and walked off the line.

On Monday my group leader came by and needed to talk to me. So we went into a room and he had me write down my account of what happened just like I have done today. I was sent back to work then he came back abot 2:15PM and said he had to escort me out of the building just a hour and 15 minutes before I was scheduled to be off. He told me that the incident was under "investigation", they called me back in on Thursday and said that my job had been terminated because distruction of company property. Although the part itself was never shown to me.

They said other employees had gave a different account than the one I gave. But it is hard for me to believe that someone could see exactly what happened through 2 people and from 10 to 15 feet away.

Pretty much all it amounted to is that they wanted to take the easy way out and "fix the problem" as soon as possible. They took the words of people they new were good friends and would incriminate the buddy. Over someome who put in many hard hours neglecting my family in some cases just to "fix the problem".

There was no one else let go in the whole situation, which doesn't exactly seem fair. But sometimes life isn't fair when almost 2 years of service are let go by 2 minutes of blurry details.

I hope this provokes some thought on how companies are ran and your dicission to go to work for one.
