My mother (83) was called by man with accent and told her she needed to purchase an ID card for medical before next year. She said no, and he told her it didn't matter because he already had her checking account number. He convinced her to confirm info, then transfered her to another person with an accent to ask the questions again. I made her go to the BOA the next day. They said she didn't need to do anything and 4 weeks later she gets a letter from BOA saying they refused to pay the check they received because they knew the company was preying on seniors. My brother, with POA, called the bank and the third party billing company who said they only did the billing. Yeah, right! BOA said to close out the account and open a new one. YR Benefits had everything correct about my mother except her age and no middle initial. What scumbags! Now I guess next year we will see another class action like Verizon and Skechers!
