Liberty Protection Aid out of Tempe, AZ—3135 S. 48th St. Suite 104-139
Consumer Report

I had been scammed by a company called First Source Marketing out of Phoenix, AZ of $24,500. This "business" hung on for almost a year but then no longer available. I got this call from a company called Liberty Protection Aid which said they were in business to help people who had been scammed. They pretended that they could trace the persons involved and help me get all or part of my money back.

Instead they contacted my credit card company (Chase) and told them a whole bunch of lies. Chase immediately sent me a check for the full amount. I had already paid off the $24,500 before the "Aid" company called. I sent Liberty Protection Aid the 50% they required because I would not send them any money in advance. I felt that anything was better than nothing. Chase did not tell me that this refund was pending on further investigation. Three months later I got a telephone call from Chase (still nothing in writing) that although the charge was made by scammers it was not their fault and that the full $24,500 was being placed back on my credit card. Not one word, written or otherwise) to this day had been suggested that the check was "pending" so I got the shock of my life to see $24,500 had been returned to my credit card.

Of course, Liberty Protection Aid had flown the coop by three months and no one knew where they were. They had lied through a letter they sent to Chase under my name without informing me of it just to get their money. Some aid they were. Sure, I was stupid to begin with, but I was new to the game then (not now). Chase refuses to take any responsibility for not informing me that the check was temporary due to further investigation so there you have it. I guess this goes on all the time and no one seems to be able to stop it. The scam companies (if you want to call them that) cut and run.
