For nearly 2 years I had been trying desperately to work with my bank to either modify or refinance my mortgage. I had not missed any payments but because my house was "up side down" the bank could not assist me. On or about April 13th I received an official looking notice that my home loan was eligible for modification assistance by All State Law Group. I called them and spoke with Jason Parrott who convinced me that All State Law Group could modify the mortgage for my primary residence for a fee of $3,495.00 to be paid in advance of any work by their firm. After electronically signing the retainer for my primary residence he asked if I had any other mortgaged property. I said that I did have a rental home with a variable rate that at the time was 2.75%. He promised me that they could get that mortgage locked in at that rate for the length of the mortgage. I had already filled out the retainer for the primary mortgage but Mr. Parrott said to just double the amount and he would take care of the rental retainer on their end. I sent them a check for $6,990.00. This was the beginning of a complete nightmare with this company. Shortly after I sent in the check I decided to not go forth with my rental property as I felt I could deal with that mortgage on my own. I was promised a refund for that property by Shayan Darvish and was told the reimbursement check was sent out on 7/29. It was not sent.in the course of nearly a year I did nothing but argue with these people about the reimbursement. Not one thing was done with regards to my modification. Within that time frame the name of the company had changed. I was transferred to several so called account managers which included Jason Parrott, Matt Casas, Amanda Haupert, Ethan Vo, Brenda Solis, Mike Hill, Liz Gomez, Jason Feldman, Jennifer Espinoza, Shayan Darvish and Tracy Lee. I eventually found out that the only attorney for this company was Bruce Weiner. I finally demanded to speak with Mr. Weiner. He admitted that there had been some wrong doings within the company. He finally had the retainer for my rental property sent to me on February 15th. Unfortunately, the check was for the amount of $2,995.00 not the $3,495.00 that I was charged. When I produced the cancelled check for the total amount of $6,990.00 they in turn sent me an electronically signed retainer for my rental mortgage in the amount of $2,995.00. I never saw that retainer when I sent in my check. I finally contacted my bank and was assigned an account manager by them at no cost. This person called me every week and walked me through the process and eventually got me on a trial payment plan with my lender. All State Law Group/Realty Law Center/Bruce Weiner and his entire staff are scam artists and I am filing formal complaints with the California Attorney General, the California Dept of Real Estate and the California State Bar Association as well as filing a law suit against these criminals with my own personal attorney for the $3,995.00 that I am still owed.
