Ripoff Lies told, promises broken, down payment help hostage. If ABC Nissan gave cars out for $10.00 a month I wouldn't take one!

We went to ABC Nissan as a second time buyer, and test drove a new car and decided to attempt to purchase the car. We gave our salesman all of the required information and went through the 3 hour "haggle" over payments and price which we ended up agreeing to pay 40.00 more than we explained we could afford.

We spoke to our salesman, 2 assistant managers and a financial person. We told them all that we did not want to take the car off the lot if there were any chance we would be required to come up with more money or if the deal wasn't going to happen. We explained we did not have anymore to give. We were assured after reviewing our credit report that they would not even be talking to me if there was a possibility of the deal crashing. And that they do "not" call their customers back. They make sure it is a good deal before having the client sign. We preceded to sign the contract.

We drove the car off the lot after agreeing to a total of $60.00 more than originally discussed. I spoke to our salesperson 2 times over the phone and once in person explaining that my previous lender was calling about the payment on my trade in and I thought they were suppose to notify the previous lender. The payment was due and he had talked me into using the car payment for the downpayement. As I had explained earlier I did not have a grace period with my current lender and after 2 days it is sent to collections, he assured me that they had 10 days to do that and there was nothing to worry about. I changed by insurance and paid more for the insurance premium. I left 2 messages for the collections department of my previous car that the dealer would contact them.

On day 8 of driving the new car I spoke to our sales person at 2pm and was again assured all was well and he hoped I was enjoying the car. I again inquired about the payoff for the old car. I was told it would be taken care of.

At 6:20pm on the 8th day we recieved a call from the sales person and asked if we could come down to sign additional paperwork. We agreed and were there by 7pm when we arrived we noticed that our old car had been brought out and was sitting there.

We were then told we would need an additional $5800.00 downpayment to make the deal happen. We reminded them of our conversation regarding the fact we did not have any more money to put down and that they had assured us there was not problem, including just 5 hours earlier. I told them now my trade in car payment was late and collections was calling us and I asked if they would be paying the late fees and was told that was my problem.

I requested my car and the downpayment and registation, my second set of keys as well as my registration was not with my file and had to be located. I assured them I would be telling everyone I knew about what happen and how rude and cold the employees of this Nissan company had been to me. They told me to go move my things from their car into my old car and they would get my check for my downpayment.

After one hour of standing in the Ariona heat and being assured several times the check was being processed, I was informed that they would not be giving me my check the same day that the department that cut the checks closes at 5pm. I said then you knew when you called me at 6:20 that you were going to take the car and not give me my money, and you lied while I stood outside for the past hour waiting. They did not have a comment!

I asked for a time that I could pick up the check the next day, the "manager" of the dealership told me that he didn't know what time that department opened and could not tell me when I would get the check, I told him I work and can't just leave when they call and had been told the check was being written this night. I told him that I had to use that money to make the car payment that was now in collections, again I was told not ABC Nissan's problem. Nor would they commit to a time to pick up the check.

I showed up at the dealership the next morning. Not knowing how long they would make me wait this time I had to take a day off of work to make sure the car payment was made before 5 pm and preventing any further problems with my lender. I was told they had to find my file. After another 45 minutes I watched as the man with my check sat with it in his hand in "their" office for an additional 10 minutes before bringing it out. I asked what happen with the deal... I asked if it was my credit and was told that my credit had not been the problem. I could only assume they just wanted the additional $5800.00. I was still talking with the man and he continued to address someone else who was there to make a "deal".

ABC Nissan is full of Liars and have the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. If ABC Nissan gave cars out for $10.00 a month I wouldn't take one! I have also told everyone I have come in contact with about my experience. Go anywhere except ABC Nissan to purchase a car
