I have a follow-up to report. I have attempted to 'permanently delete my profile from Mate1, ' but when I log into the website again after selecting that I do wish to permanently delete it, it lets me log in, and then my profile is online again for all to see, with my username, and my first and last name. I am deeply disturbed that there is no way for me to get my name out of the system. It gives me no comfort to know that when I check the box that says 'Are you sure that you want to permanently delete your profile from Mate1, ' it is simply hiding it, and that logging into the website will reactivate it for all to see. As we have all seen through the Facebook fiasco, 'hiding' is only reassuring for as long as the company chooses to honor this. I have a video illustrating all of what is occurring. There is currently no way for me to delete my profile. I can only hope that they will not inadvertently 'unhide' my profile, subjecting me, once again, to privacy and security risks. I do not know the monetary damages, but I do know I will not be sleeping tonight from the stress of it. I have spent the last four hours trying to resolve this. There seems to be no way for me to delete my personal info from their website. I feel very, very vulnerable. I have a video illustrating all of this.
