My VISA credit card was declined yesterday. I called my bank. Balance was higher but NO charges or authorizations for 2 months. Electronic payments on card for 2 months missing. 5 people couldn't explain how my balance went up or where my payments went to. They credited my missing payments in meantime. My online statement posted this morning: It shows BOONE'S BENJAMINS for a $4.95 charge on 5/08 and a $69.95 charge on 5/12. They have a VAGUE recording if you call the number on my statement. I called my bank back. They inquired and was told it's for BOOK ORDERS. I didn't order or use the card since 3/13. I googled them and found fraud complaints against them for bogus SPYWARE. Again, I haven't used the card for either! First bank lady tried to tell me I'd have to wait 60 days for a credit. No way! I asked for a supervisor and complained that she was wrong and I shouldn't be penalized for 60 days. Supervisor is now processing my credit today. I had card cancelled and they're overnighting me a replacement card with a new account #. Beware: i don't know how they got my card info because i haven't used it in 2 months. Check you statements every month for scams and frauds!!!
