I was buying a used car in February.'Bought 1 report in February (for $3.99, I think), on my PayPal credit card. I am an internet merchant, and consider myself to be pretty "web savvy" for scams. I am very careful about what I purchase, and try to 'dot all i's and cross all t's'. I do not recall ANY part of my purchase that warned me that I must cancel my subscription, or any text saying that I would be charged $29.95 PER SUBSEQUENT MONTH if I did not cancel. I was charged in February, March, April and May before I realized this had happened.
I called the vendor and insisted that I receive a refund. They directed me to their "request refund" page, which has a convenient disclaimer of "no refunds after 30 days" policy. There is no email to write a complaint, and no person with authority to complain to (supposedly), so I will be doing a chargeback with PayPal. I can at least get April and May back.
THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE PROSECUTED FOR FRAUD. If I had time and money to burn, I would sign up for another vinhistory report on this site, just to see their purchase agreement that they are pushing off on their buyers.
