Everyday Privileges Gold
Consumer Report

Buyer beware!!!

In December, I ordered a new computer system from TigerDirect.com and was offered a $20 savings coupon with my my purchase when I sign up for a Everyday Privileges Gold club account. Tiger Direct's sales person switched me over to a Everyday Advantage high pressure sales person who claimed the club came with all kind of (useless) benefits. I was told monthly membership would be $16.99 per month if I didn't cancel within 30 day Free Trial period.

I tried to cancel my account in early January by email before the 30 day trial ended as provided for in there TOS statement. I never got a cancellation confirmation email from them! I did get a $20 rebate check, however as was promised hen I signed up.

In late February I got my credit card statement with first charges - 2 for $16.99 each 1/29 and 2/7 which I somehow missed amongst the other purchase charges listed on my statement. My second statement came in March with 2 more charges at $16.99 each on 2/28 and 3/7/13!
I'm wondering at this point why I'm getting two charges.

So I finally called them March 30 using the number on their information kit they sent me to cancel my account. I was told my account would be cancelled effective immediately and credit for two charges would appear on my April statement.

This week after getting my April credit card statement, I see two more $16.99 charges and credit for two months worth of charges as promised. Now I'm fuming!

I called Everyday Privileges to complain about the new charges, I was told that I was signed up for TWO different memberships to be billed at $16.99 each per month and only one got cancelled during my last call!

Apparently, they also signed me up to Buyers Advantage Protection services! I didn't knowingly sign up for that!

I cancelled the Buyers Advantage thingy and only got two months credit, but seems I'm stuck with the first months of charges on each account as they refused to acknowledge my attempt to cancel my account via email In February because they have no record of it and I didn't get a confirmation email.

This is not right and I feel ripped off!
They use high pressure sales tactics while bombarding you with tons of features and legalese as if you were purchasing a car.

Cancelling was a real pain in the a*! Not worth a $20 rebate check!
