I cancelled my annual membership with direct TV 4 days before the contract date. I was told by the company that i had a $0 balance during the cancellation. 2 weeks later, i received an invoice for $5.48. I called and i was told that was the charges for "protection plan".interesting enough, i remember i cancelled my protection plan the first month of membership. Apparently, Direct TV did not pay attention to my request and kept charging me every month, and unfortunately, i never paid attention to direct TV's monthly bills. Got be very careful about these corporations. They can easily cheat us.
