I was working away on the computer, when a message popped up saying that I was chosen for a National Visitor Survey that would take a few seconds. I tried to close the message several times, however it just kept appearing, and I couldn't use the computer, so I did the survey. The questions were, are you female or male, do you visit this site on a regular basis/daily basis, will you be visiting this site again. After I answered the questions, another window popped up giving me the choice to win a free item. I had to choose between 3 items, I choose an iPad. Another window popped up asking me if I wanted a white or black one.
Once I choose the colour, the following message appeared at the top of the top of the page "* You have 0.0 seconds left to reply to the confirmation text message. * This message was in red and flashing and the timer was counting down, creating a sense of urgency for me to move quickly. A window popped up asking me for my mobile phone number, which I entered. Then I received a text message on my mobile asking me to send a text message back with the word "yes" if I wanted to be in the competition. So I sent a text message. Then another window appeared asking me for my full name, address and date of birth. The whole time, the timer is counting down, so I quickly filled out the details.
Then another window popped up with the following message:

After reading that message I immediately sent a message with the word "stop". I then rang customer service and told her that I was not happy with the scam and did not want to be charged for their subscription, she said it was too late I had already been charged $25.00, however there were no further payments, as I had text them to stop. I told her that I wanted a refund, she said she could not do that.
What a scam this company is! They must be stopped. If I did not read that last message, I was going to be charged an ongoing service charged at $13.20 every 2days $13.20 join. 25c per message sent.
