We were approached by this "law firm" to seek a loan modification. My wife had a lot of misgivings and was telephoned by a Terrence and the by a Mark. She was assured that our monthly payments would go from $723 to around $400-$500 per month. She did not want to do this. We had taken a loan to get back on track with our mortgage through our 401K and that is what she wanted to do. Then these two assured her that everything would be fine that they were a reputable law firm. NOW, after a 2 years we are WORSE off than ever. Our so called modification is $753 a month payments and instead of owing just $94,000 we now owe $101,500. We are having to sell our home. If we had done what my wife wanted we would still be paying $723 and owe just around $88,000 by now. We put $50,000 of our own money into this house and now will probably only see a fraction of that money. This "law firm" scammed us and has cost us everything!!!
