EP FITNESS - BAD Business Practices

My mom "Elizabeth Regent-then age 77" went in late December to the EP FITNESS on Montwood/Saul Kleinfeld to cancel her membership. At this same time my mom's credit card was cancelled for an erroneous charge during the Christmas period. When the EP Fitness personnel called regarding their inability to retrieve her dues, she advised them she had to cancel her credit card and advised them she needed to cancel her membership. She gave them her new replacement credit card number to cover December dues, and the reps at EP Fitness made an appointment for her to process the cancellation paperwork. My mom went down to the Montwood/Saul Kleinfeld EP FITNESS on the specified date and time, but after waiting for an hour for the rep who never showed up, my mom inquired with the staff on duty about the reps whereabouts. The Montwood/Saul Kleinfeld EP FITNESS staff had no idea who the rep was or how to go about investigating the appointments. So my mom asked for a cancellation form of which they did provide. However they advised my mom she had to go to the west side office to process it. She asked why she could not submit it at the same place she signed up for it? But they had no answers, yet advised her to send it via U.S.P. S certified mail. So she sent off her cancellation form certified mail to "Flex Enterprises" on 30 January. Her credit card continued to be charged thru February, then March. Taking into consideration the time processing of 30 days, and possibly missing the billing cutoff - it was acceptable to be charged for those additional two (2) months. On 1 April my mom took the only action possible, and called her "Chase" Bank and proceeded with a dispute of unathorized charges to her credit card. Now "May", EP Fitness called for a delinquent balance of dues, under the name of ROCA fitness. After she explained the entire story for 45 minutes, and the personnel unable to find her in the database, nor obviously find her cancellation form, they transferred her to a supervisor when she asked for their name. The supervisor, Ryan Como, then proceeded to ask the same exact questions as the previous rep. "Really!!!" She has high blood pressure and a fractured back, but she graciouosly re-explained the situation. Ryan too, had no clue and couldn't find my mom's account&For God's Sake—They call us and Don't they know their clients/customers account number? This type of harassment to senior citizens is applauling. This is a clear case of "Bullying" where big enterprise threatens an senior citizen with collection action&"Really!!!" Do you think a 78 year woman with a husband in a nursing home with Alzheimers is going to take out a mortgage??? I am sure there is more than just my mom being harrassed by the not so fit business "EP Fitness".
