Holding my title hostage

Hello Friends and relatives:
Below you will find a story of the pompous attitude of state government. Everyone of you has at some point in your life been the victim of a callous, uncaring bureaucrat for which you had no recourse. I have decided to fight and wish to enlist your help. Now is the time to get your punch in. Send this email to your local newspaper, craigslist posts, Facebook, Myspace, your friends and relatives. Lets cover the USA and show government we are mad as hell and we will not take it anymore!

Dear Fellow Citizen:
I would like to bring to your attention another attempt by state government to trample our liberty, due process and property rights. I purchased a truck in Nevada and went to the Nevada DMV to process the title and obtain registration. I moved to AZ shortly thereafter. After some months I had not received my title and wrote the NV DMV regarding it. I was informed that it was mailed to my last address and it was not returned by the USPS. I then made inquiry to the USPS and after weeks of investigation it was determined that it could not located. I then contacted the NV DMV and learned that the title was returned to the DMV and they destroyed it rather than contacting me. I also learned that I had to pay another $28.25 title fee and fill out paperwork for another title. My protest of having to pay another $28.25 fell on deaf ears. Since my truck was disabled with transmission problems I did not pursue the matter. Then I remembered that I had paid for the
DMV fees with my credit card. After explaining the facts to Visa I was informed that the DMV is not entitled to the title processing fee of $28.25 according to the agreement the DMV signed with Visa. Visa told me they would process a dispute of that amount with the DMV. Several weeks later I received written notice the the NV DMV agreed the $28.25 title charge was not valid.
To my shock months later the NV DMV informed me they were charging me $225.25 for the title fee plus the registration of $40 which I never disputed and "other" charges which they refuse to itemize. To make matters worse they turned these illegal charges over to a collection agency and sent letters to an address in Nevada which they knew I would not receive since they knew I moved to AZ. The DMV is holding my title "hostage" until I pay these illegal charges.
I have written the DMV numerous times asking them to do the right thing and at the very least to itemize their illegal charges. No response.
Numerous friends and family have told me that you cannot fight the DMV and to buckle to their intimidation and threats. After much thought and reflection I have decided not to succumb to their tactics and instead fight them where it hurts them the most, in the public arena. A famous American once said, "When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is Liberty." That person was Thomas Jefferson.
Fellow citizens we need the government to learn that, we the people, are the customers and as customers they need to do right by us or lose our support. I urge you to teach Nevada a lesson in customer rights by boycotting Nevada. Refuse to make any trips to Nevada and if you have one scheduled, cancel it and tell the hotel, casino and the State of Nevada you are doing it because they are not doing the right thing to their citizens and the public at large. Also send this letter to your friends and family urging them to do the same.in fact you should do this for another important reason. You should support your local economy. Take your gambling trips to casinos within your own state. Support the people who buy goods and services from you or your employer. Together we can change the pompous attitude of government and they will have to change and make themselves more customer oriented. If they cannot see their need to change then they are short sighted
and do not have the cerebral mass of a gnats ass. Together citizens we can make a difference.
