Lancaster County CYA has removed my children from my home on false charges that were dism dismissed, and domestic violence, in wich my abuser is in jail facing 8 years on stalking charges.
My youngest 2 children's father was released from Lancaster Ciunty Prison on June 2nd, and arrested on stalking charges on June 8th. He was charged with 6 counts of stalking. I had to have someone in my house to protect me and my children 24/7 because he was breaking in my house, following me everywhere I went, threatening people in my home, as well as threatening that if he can't have m nobody can have me. I called the cops over and over again and they could never find him. He was sitting on the roof down the street and called me while the police were in my house. Officer Cosmore finally was the officer that responded to my call. He initiated the charges, and he was arrested the following day. There is no longer a threat to me and my children from him. I have been calling the police for years tryiung to have something done, and the worse that he got was a harrassment fine, and released to beat me up again. THe police would reportedly file charges, but because he was a snitch with the Lancaster City Taqsk Force, the charges would always disappear.
When he got out of jail, he broke in at 6:25 AM and told my daughter that he was moving in with us. I had no idea that he had spoken to her first since I was asleep, and she was supposed to be as well. She went to school and said she was affraid because he was moving in. She never said anything to me about this, or I would have corrected it. I got a babysitter for June 4th and went out that evening. I had a cell phone at the time, and he was calling it nonstop, telling me he is going to find me. I told the bouncer that he as stalking me, and I was affraid because I had a PFA against him, and he was looking for me. If he comes in, the law was for them to call the police, but they said he was good money and they wouldn't keep him out because he spends so much when he comes. I had no idea what to do. I could either walk home in the dark and risk him following through with his death threat, or stay there and know that I was going to be hit IF he actually found me. I stayed, but was still on my first drink when he came in and screamed at some guy for trying to talk to me. He told him that he was my man, and I said no hes not, and tried to call the cops, but my phone had died from him calling so much. He punched me in my face and I threw my first and only drink in his face so he couldn't see and I could get away.
We were both bounced into the dark, but I wouldn't leave from the area due to the dark and not knowing where he would pop up again. The police came, and I told them whaqt had happened. They told me if I didn't leave, they would arrest me. I told them I wasn't walking in the dark when the man I have a PFA against has threaqtened me and stalked me, then assaulted me. I asked them to drop me off and they refused. They arrested me and charged me with public drunkeness and disorderly conduct.
The next day, my children were taken because Tony Burnside was a threat to the safety of me and my children, and because of my charges. Since then he has been incarcerated for going on a year, and my charges have been found to be false. Since my charges were dismissed, and there is no threat to myself or famioly, they should have been returned. CYA has now turned my domestic violence case into a criminal trial. THey have been unable to prove any of the allegations that they have made, yet my children are still in care. I have a 1 year old, 2 year old, 6 year old, and 7 year old. They want to come home, and I want to come home. THe foster parents want to adopt my children, and it's not right.
With no proof of child abuse or neglect, children should be with their parents. There's no excuse for what they're doing. Keeping my children as job security, instead of worrying about the children that really need to get to a safe home. Someone please help me!!!
