Hill, Kertscher, & Wharton Project Paperless, LLCs business seems to be acquiring patents related to copiers/scanners and bringing patent infringement claims, one after another, against a multitude of small businesses that use Internet

Project Paperless LLC is an organization of Attorneys that are filing lawsuits against small, indefensible businesses in Virginia and Georgia for illegal use of scan-to-email printers and scanners. They claim to own the patent for this technology, but are pursuing lawsuits with small businesses, and not the manufacturers of the printers & scanners themselves. The companies that they are suing are typically small and are limited in resources to fight these lawsuits and will typically settle the lawsuits outside of court. We believe that Project Paperless LLC is a shell organization owned various businesses that list the partners of Hill, Kertscher, & Wharton law firm as owners and managers.
