Worldwide Parcel Services
Consumer Report

There was an add on Craigslist for a Macbook Pro 13" for $450. I sent an email request for more information on the product he/she was selling and received a reply email introducing himself as Albert Colbert. I then asked to see pictures of the laptop before I purchased it and he promptly sent me four photos of the item. He then asks me if I am still interested in his product and I told him, "I am still interested in your product, how would you want to complete this transaction." He sends a reply email saying, "I am currently in British Columbia, Canada. I was checking for a way to make the exchange from here to you in the US and I came across this option, which is a very good way to make this exchange. They provide excellent service and have very good reviews as far as I've seen. It's provided by a company called Worldwide Parcel Services and it will help us with this transaction." I agreed to using Worldwide Parcel Services after checking out their website (www.worldwide-parcelservices.co.uk). WPS then sent me an email saying that Albert Colbert had dropped off the laptop at their shipping facility and that I need to make the payment for the laptop soon so that I could receive the package in the shortest time possible. I was then sent information from WPS to pay their agent (Jane McCoy) through a Western Union money transfer. I sent the money on 3/29 and received a confirmation from WPS upon receiving my payment. I then realized that WPS was a scam by typing into google Worldwide Parcel Services scam. I never received the Macbook Pro 13".
