When looking for a quick Macbook replacement online through Craigslist, I was sent an email by "George Dugan, " someone selling their Macbook through their company. They had relocated to Winnipeg, Canada. They wanted to make a transaction through a site known as "Rapid Parcel." Luckily I already knew it was a scam and I am here to tell you all do not fall for it!
You will be told to make a transaction and the site will keep the money until you get your product in which you paid for. Then, once they have the product and the money, you will receive the product and if satisfied, the seller will receive the money.
Luckily, I knew it was fishy and I knew about scams through craigslist so I left it alone. A friend of mines then told me about craigslist scams and one very similar to my story with "Rapid Parcel." The person had moved to Canada and so on. I then urged all of my close friends and family to be weary of purchasing things online through unreliable websites.
