First I would like to say I would NOT recommend this place. On Fri. 4/6, I called this company because our tenant had purchased some merchandise from Discount Mattress and while they were delivering the merchandise they damaged our hall way leading to the tenants apt. There is about a 2 foot long scratch and this scratch is about a inch deep. Very noticable. The delivery was done 2 days prior. I was out of town and I just returned home from vacation. First I asked our tenant if she knew anything about it and she said she didnt notice until after they left and that no one said anything to her while they were here. I asked her who delivered the furniture. She said Discount Mattress and showed me the receipt. I called them and asked to speak to the manager. The man who answered the phone said he was the manager. I explained to him what happened and wanted to know if the delivery people told him what happened regarding the damage to our wall. He said no. He automatically said how do you know it wasnt your tenant who did the damage. I told him because I have pictures of the damage they did and their damaged had already been fixed which I have pictures of that also. He said why didnt our tenant call and file the complaint and why werent they supervising. I told him his contractors were suppose to be professionals and she paid them for a service she shouldnt have to be supervising them. As far as why they arent calling I told him because I am the home owner. I also said why should they call so they can be told why isnt the home owner calling. He said how do you know that is what would of been said. I told him because of the way he is acting now. I also said to him if they need supervision why arent you supervising them or babysitting them. He went on to say that they subcontract their delivering people. After arguing with him for about 5 mins and this conversation going no where, I asked for his supervisors name and he said there wasnt one, when I asked for their corporate office number or address he said there wasnt one, when I asked for the owners name he said there wasnt one. At this point I hung up on him. He called me back and said he didnt appreciate being hung up on. I told him I didnt appreciate him not taking responsiblity for his delivery people. He said he would have them call me. I said by Tues and he said yes. Well today is Wed 4/11, and I didnt hear back from anyone. I called there again at 11:07. The man I spoke to today when I asked for the manager he asked me to what was this call in reference to. When I told him he said sorry he is out until Fri. When I asked for the corporate office number, or his supervisors number guess what you got it. There isnt one just him. At this point I asked who I was speaking with and guess what. I had a dial tone. I think this place is very unprofessional and dont want to own up to their responsiblity. All I wanted them to do at first is admit to their mistake. Now I want them to pay me for having to hire someone to come in and fix their mistake. If someone asked me what I thought of this place I would tell them to STAY AWAY from shopping there and there are other places to shop. Who knows what they would do if something happens to your merchandise, will they take responsibility for that even thou its under warranty. I think not.
