I recently answered an ad in the newspaper for Volvo Dedicated Drivers for Swift Transportation. I contacted a recruiter and after a few short questions she was making arrangements for me to take the bus from Indianapolis to Memphis for training.
I went to the bus station a couple of days later got my ticket and away I went.
I arrived in a city that my bus ticket said. It was the wrong city! The motel told me I had to go to Orentation first which was 30 miles away. After making several phone calls I got a ride to Swift headquaters in Memphis, after waiting 20 min. They told me they didnt know anything about me but that they would give me a motel voucher anyway and to return in the morning for Orentation.
I got to the motel (very sleazy) and they said I had to have a roommate who could show up at anytime. So around Midnight or so a guy whom I never met entered the room unannounced and to top it off I go downstairs in the morning to catch the shuttle to Orentation and they told me I had to go back to the room and get my things because my voucher was only good for one night.
That was it I called a cab went to the bus station and paid my own way home. What a horrible experience that was!
