My wife and I received a call from Key One Solutions advising us that they could get our credit card interest rates lowered. I asked them some questions which he skirted around giving vague answers. I asked him if his company was a member of the Better Business Bureau? He replied that they were not, " but many good and decent companies were not members". I was skeptical, but my wife was comfortable with them. I did check with the Better Business Bureau online and found that they had about three recent complaints but they were satisfactorly resolved. We were instructed to send information on our bills, and that they must all be current, after receiving this information, we were informed that a "financial counselor" would review our situation and contact us. During the interview with the 'Counselor', he asked for and received account number of the credit card with the largest balance. He then commenced to deny everything that the telemarketer promised. He then 'called' this credit card company requesting a lower rate which they refused to do. I do not believe that he called the credit card company, but instead called someone in their organization. We intend to further pursue this matter with possibly filing a lawsuit, through the BBB, and with our credit card company.
