Experienced Van Lines
I was defrauded

Do not do business with these people

I did not do adequate research because if I researched this company it was clear that they were in the business of fraudulent conversion.

HERE IS MY STORY
I was moving from New York to Atlanta. I moved my items into storage unit in Brooklyn with the intention of transporting them to Atlanta when I closed on my house. I did a search on the internet of moving company and entered my information. Big mistake. I woke up the following morning and I had offers from 7 different moving companies. A slew of emails and phone calls and messages followed. I received different quotes. I spoke to 5 different agents from 5 companies

CLAY from GUYANA I spoke to a man named Clay from EXPERIENCED VAN LINES.
He was the nicest person that you could ever speak with. He provided a quote based on the estimate of the items that I was trying to move. I was impressed. He was very personable and I was sold. He asked me for a location of the storage unit and when I would like the stuff moved. He also promised one month free storage if I wanted extra time to move my items to Atlanta. A date was set for pick up and delivery. I provided all the pertinent information. A deposit was required to secure the pick up date. I provided a credit card number.

THE WRITING WAS ON THE WALL
A $50 deposit was required. However, a $200 charge was deducted from my account. Clay called back to point this out and said it was a mistake. He however pointed not it can be refunded or used to reduce my balance. I asked that the amount be refunded. I was not pleased that $200 was deducted when the agreed amount was $50. It was deliberately done with the hopes that I wouldn't have a problem with it. The pick up date came and two men come in a huge Budget truck and wrapped my items and loaded into the truck. They spoke in their native language to each other. One spoken fairly decent English while the other one barely spoke English. They worked efficiently and loaded the truck. I was told that my items went over the cubic foot allocation that was agreed upon and was told there was a $200 additional charge. I was shown an area marked in the truck and then was told that anything over that was extra. Shady, I thought but alas, the items were already loaded. I received a call from a man who identified himself as JOHN telling me the truck was already in Georgia and wanted to deliver the items two days early. I reminded John that I agreed on a date of March 1 st and I wanted to change the date. I was told that the truck was already loaded and the items would not be removed and the items will be delivered on March 1 st. I reminded him that CLAY guaranteed that a 24 hour notice can be given if there was a date change was needed. I was now giving them a 36 hour notice that I do not want the items delivered until later. I was told the items will be delivered. I asked to speak to CLAY and was told that is not necessary and that he, JOHN was the boss and that CLAY works for him. He hung up the phone after that. I spoke to CLAY moments later and was guaranteed that there will be a change in the date and was told not to worry. Two days later after work, I checked my message and got several messages from JOHN who said the men are at my house and if the items are brought back to New York there will be a redelivery charge of $600. He left two such message on my voice mail and my email. I called CLAY and was told not to worry.

SOMETHING IS ROTTEN AT EXPERIENCED VAN LINES
I was told that my items were on a truck and it will be delivered between TUESDAY MARCH 6 and FRIDAY MARCH 9. I took the following days off and waited patiently for it. I called on Thursday the 8 the and was placed on indefinite hold several times. I finally spoke to JOHN, the owner of the company and was told that my items were still in New York and that my shipment is too small to be transported to Atlanta and that there needs to be more shipments before the trips can be made. I asked him if he had a date and he said no. He hung up the phone after that. I called back a week later and was placed on indefinite hold. I spoke to a man named ALFRED who said my shipment was en route to Atlanta and it will be delivered over the weekend of March 23 to March 26. I paid someone to be at the house and left the phone contact for the person. I was transferred to JOHN once more who did not pick up or return my calls. I called back Alfred and he did not answer. On Saturday March 24 th, I spoke to ALFRED who told he spoke to John and he told him my stuff was in storage in ATLANTA.

THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S BACK
My valuables were placed in a storage unit on March 1. The date of the cancelled delivery. I was told that when the balance was paid, including the storage costs. The keys and the location of the storage unit will be made known to me. I was mortified. I asked how is it I was told that my valuables were placed in storage and when I inquired where the storage unit was, I was told I cannot be told. I asked if there damages to my items how will I be compensated? ALFRED said he did not have an answer for that. I was told the balance had to be remitted to EXPERIENCED VAN LINES. I have been sleeping on an air mattress while my bed and valuable lay in ATLANTA or at least so EXPERIENCED VAN LINES says.
ONE MORE BEFORE I GO
I had a bad feeling about this company but I disregarded my sixth sense.

I BEG OF YOU FOR YOUR OWN SANITY DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH EXPERIENCED VAN LINES. I felt like I was robbed and I wait in horror to enter the storage unit to see if any of my items are there.
