I rented a car in Denver, CO prepaid thru a website package. When I arrive to pick up the car the car would not hold ski's so we paid for an upgrade. The scam part is that they offer a toll pass for the Denver area, however they will only sell you the pass for the entire duration of your rental whether or not you will be in the Denver area for $10 per day.in my case it was 6 days so $60 plus tax so I declined the pass since I would only be in Denver for a few hours before heading out to Keystone, CO. I used the toll road to go up and have dinner and then head back down to 70 a non toll road. Dollar charged me $56 for two $6 tolls by adding two $25 fees to the total - one for each toll. They do not offer single day toll passes nor do they tell you if or where you can purchase toll passes. The toll roads are cashless and therefore you cannot pay the toll at a station yourself. Highway robbery! Abuse by the rental car company for services you won't need. They could have sold me a one day toll pass, but they refused to. Now I know why. Don't use Dollar or Thrifty in Denver, CO! Or anywhere else they have cashless toll systems if you aren't staying in the city.
