Association of Bay Area Governments, MPO ABAGOne/Plan Bay Area violates private property rights and dictates how and where the people of the Bay Area will live in the future

ABAG (Association of Bay Area Governments) and MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) are pushing are planning the total transformation of all nine Bay Area Counties. This plan is called One Bay Area or Plan Bay Area. It calls for a cookie cutter plan of stack and pack housing next to mass transit. This plan seeks to rezone ALL pivate property within PDAs (Priority Development Areas) to mixed mutil-use. It also calls for the rezoning of private property to "Open Space". Local jurisdictions are being extorted into adopting these regional plans or they will not get their transportation funds. Over $256 billion dollars of tax payer money is being given to MTC and ABAG (non-elected) regional agencies. These agencies in turn are planning the future of how and where the 9 million residents of the Bay Area will live. They are holding the purse strings. If local jurisdictions say no to this plan they will not get any funds to fix their roads or highways. Once the local jurisdictions adopt the plan they must rezone designated areas within their cities to mixed multi use or be sued. There is no regard for private property rights. This agency is deciding the future for over 9 million people without any oversight. The people of the Bay Area have no idea this is happening. The ABAG and MTC folks were supposed to inform the public, but have only held 1 public input meeting in each county! Regional planning is unconstitutional.
