The hardest hit of Alabama is a joke. I was on unemployment from 07-03 i received a letter stating Alabama received $162 million to help people who was behind on their house payments & they have to be on unemployment, well i was on unemployment threw out 2011 & this program has been going on ever sense 02.
I could had already been receiving help if i was notified well before 02. This is just wrong to do people i'm furious because i needed the help i had to file for bankruptcy to keep from losing my house, i believe they did this on purpose because they new people was going to be cut off from unemployment benefits. The state has only used $2 Million of the $162 million. The program would pay up to 1 year to your mortgage company.
They did this so they could keep the other half of the money. It just angers me that i was notified last year. They told me at the Hardest hit office they receive over 100 calls all day every day saying they wasn't notified but some people was notified last year. But not everyone was notified last year this is just wrong to treat people.
