Unum fought disability claim. Judge forced arbitration. The attorneys, mine and unum's capitulated on a number ($). I forced my attorney to reduce some unnecessary expenses and ended up with more 50% of the amount. My attorney then went back to unum and got additional money to cover her "lost costs".
The arbitrator said he had never heard/seen anything like that.
