Basically the same thing happened that happened with others, phoned me, told me they could get me a 6% interest rate on my visa, for only 692.00/came to more because it was american. I fell for it, they got me to talk to a cibc visa rep, told me to ask her about a select visa, for 11.99 %, they told me not to mention them. I did get the select visa card, now my interest is 11.99%, but they also said that by the time I get my third bill this year, it would be lowered to 5.5%.
This is not the case. It is still the select percentage rate. I now will NOT answer any calls that are international, or 1-800, or numbers that I don't recognize. Fool me once, etc.
