I switched to DirecTV in December from cable and was disappointed from the start. I was told that I could add additional receivers free of charge as I purchased new TV's throughout my new house. So when I requested two new boxes I was horrified to learn that the cost was over $200.00 each. What they didn't tell me was that I had to order them within a 10-day period of starting their service. Their solution was to move the cable box throughout the house and plug it in to the TV as needed. However when I do this I get an error every time saying "the box cannot locate the satellite." I call technical support and they walk me through the restart process and tell me to move the SWM box to make certain it is connected (I did this the first time but secretly refused to touch it the second and third time) and once I said I did check it they say they have to send technical support out at $49.95 later that week (about 4 days) because I must have shorted the SWM box when I moved it on the carpet. This has happened three times now and I refuse to pay the fee. I am so tired of their lies. It must be on their script card. If all else fails tell the customer that they shorted their equipment. I am ready to throw their equipment into the pond behind my house.
