Old Colony Cabinets
Scam and Ripped us off too!

Mr. Todd Vaughn owner of Old Colony Cabinets is under a contractual agreement to supply, deliver and install cabinets/accessories for our kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms. The company's business address at time of our contractual signatures was located at: 936 Baxter Avenue Louisville, KY 40204 which is also matching BBB records however between 11 and 1 the company has since relocated to: 11524 Shelbyville Road Louisville, KY 40243 next to Schiller's Fitness in Middletown. The contractual agreement totaled $32,724.02, my wife and I have already paid Mr. Todd Vaughn / Old Colony Cabinets a total of $31,724.02 (The last time Mr. Todd Vaughn was present was to receive another partial check on 12/28). Unfortunately the laundry room was still uncompleted (still missing cabinets), the kitchen was uncompleted (still missing matching trim and matching handles), and two out of four bathrooms uncompleted (missing matching trim and matching handles). The partial payment was for his commitment from his verbal agreement to return in 2 days to complete our home construction and to then pay our owed balance of $1,000.00. Unfortunately the two days passed. As each week passed, Mr. Todd Vaughn would request more time stating that the materials are on order and should arrive next week! Since 2-1, We have lost all communication. Unfortunately Mr. Todd Vaughn stretched a few days into a few months. Mr. Todd Vaughn has disregarded all phone messages since 2-1 and on (2-15-12) a legal letter from our attorney. Paul Musselwhite attorney requested Mr. Todd Vaughn to complete project however to no avail; no replies have been attempted by Todd Vaughn and no replies by his company "Old Colony Cabinets". Our commitment to Mr. Todd Vaughn was to show good faith when requested and pay monies prior to completion which was accomplished by slick sales and contractual deceit. Mr. Todd Vaughn also used his girlfriend and employee Jennifer to accomplish their contractual deceit. They remain in business today and are actively working on construction projects in Louisville, KY and the surrounding areas.

We have recently requested several other companies to complete our project, unfortunately matching of existing handles and existing cabinets and existing trim will cost my family thousands of dollars in damages, more than the original contract required to accomplish the completion of our new constructed home. We are requesting your offices to help in this matter.

Desired Settlement: Finish the Job. Desired Outcome: Either finish our home construction for the agreed contractual amount at once or provide complete documentation of whom and where to purchase the materials required to secure and match our completion and pay any balance owed to a new contractor that exceeds the remaining $1,000.00 balance of our agreed written and verbal contract. Verbal Contact Dates: 12/30 (Friday), 01/09 (Monday), 01/23 (Monday), 01/30 (Monday), 02/01 last Communication date. Since we have left e-mails, text messages and voice mails to please return call and complete project. The above dates are the number of times Mr. Todd Vaughn agreed to complete our home project but stalled us each week claiming our parts are on order and he will be there next week to complete construction.

My fear is that Mr. Todd Vaughn is still actively registered business operator whose intent for malicious and financial hardship may or may have enticed him to continue deceptive business practices with more unfortunate Kentucky residents, voters and tax payers. During this late process, we have found other complaints to proof his malicious acts. My family and I are requesting the Consumer Protection Agency pursue Mr. Todd Vaughn, The Better Business Bureau, Kentucky Courts and if necessary the below television, newspapers but not limited to the radio stations to warn others of this business man practices.
