Mr. Vaughn showed me his book of driveways and patios, I showed him one I liked, also gave him the address of a patio I particularly liked. He said he went and looked at it and would do that for me. We agreed on a cash price. I had to leave the state because of a family emergency. Mr. Vaughn called and asked if he could start. He was so personable and seemed to be so trustworthy, I gave him the go ahead. Imagine my surprise when all I got was a textured slab of concrete with a totally different color step. I called Mr. Vaughn when I returned home and asked him very nicely if he would bring his book and come over, he asked me what the problem was. I told him I was expecting it to look like the picture I had selected (tile), he sent a man over, he actually cut my concrete into really large rectangles. That was my tile look. I again called Mr. Vaughn and requested he bring his book over and told him I had pictures of the patio he had looked at, and I would like to discuss my patio. His answer was shocking - he told me "GET OFF MY PHONE AND DON'T YOU EVER CALL ME AGAIN." Everytime I go out back, I am reminded again of how he took advantage of me and refused to talk with me about the problem. Several people have come to look at my patio to see the type of work performed compared to what was requested and paid for.
