I was sent a check that I had to first activate then do assignments. I deposited the check into my account. I then called my bank and asked them to check into the check. My bank came back almost a week and a half later and told me the check was counterfeit. The bank charged me a fee for the check. I am in the process of calling the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General. I will go as high as possible to see that these people are prosecuted. It is unbelievable that people making finding a job so difficult and prey on those that are less fortunate. These people need to be stopped. Yes I lost very little in their process, but too a dollar even, is something that a single mother of two and someone who is unemployed CHERISHES. And it is just not acceptable to me or to the others hurt by this scam. Had I not known differently or had not felt the feeling that something was wrong, I would have lost $1900., instead. Then the same day I found the check to be counterfeit, I also received a call from TM Northeast stating that I had been removed from their list. I also tried to call the company numerous times and was given a recording that states "Due to a high call volume we can not take your call" and no message is able to be left as well. I tried calling many times throughout the day and was given the same message. So they obviously know what they are doing and are trying to cover it up.
