We had a phone call asking did we want to sell our timeshare, they offered a good price and said that they had some waiting to purchase, so we paid a fee something like £650 then recieved contract about three days later which stated you have entered a years contract, and if we dont get a buyer we we pass on your details to a corprate company.
I tried phoneing the number that was given for contact left several messages and no one came back to us, thats when we thought something fishy was going on.
After a couple of months we got a call from another company saying that they have a buyer and a better price than first company, and that they could get our money back from first company, so we paid another fee this time £550 contract read a bit differant sighned and sent back by return post relizing that there was only one copy, we should have got it photo coppied but didn't. Months went by still no word from either companies, then we get a call from someone asking about timeshare we told them what we had paid out so far, WRONG MOVE! They said we can give you a number in the UK where you can check companies out before paying out we did and was told first two known to be bogus co's but this one called global liesure, on Gibralter and several others mentioned seem to be ok NO bad reports given. The next call from the company on Gibralter seemed very helpfull and assured us that he would do everthing in his power to get our money back, we paid out more money how stupid we then got a call from there financial dept saying that they were going to fast track everthing and get it sorted with two weeks insteat of the usual 4-6 weeks we went on holiday in our camper they said that they would phone on mobil while we were in France and we could put deeds in post to them they said that they would put money in our bank and when we see it in there send deeds which we had addressed ready not a word has been heard from them since.
Eventualy we got one of the smaller fees back £550- £650 went back on my card. Then as time went by Lloyds TSB Brighton did not contact us any more and it got forgoten about for me to make contact with them now I am told it's to late to do anything, but can try emailing story again to bank.
