I purchased 2 pair of Ugg boots from this web site: www.uggs-bootsoutlet.Us. The web site had the official Ugg logo aqnd everything about it looked official in comparison to the other Ugg web sites I had reviewed. When the boots arrived they were not genuine Ugg boots and were sent from China. Go figure! The materials in the boots and the fur lining was different and a cheaper quality.
When I contacted customer service they just kept giving me the run around. Finally they admitted that they sell 3 qualities of boots: A, A, and A. They said their sale boots are the A quality. None of this information was given on their web site. The site showed only authentic Ugg boots and said nothing about different qualities.
I reported to them that I was unhappy with the boots and that they were not what I ordered. I asked to return them and have my credit card refunded. They said I could not return them because they may never make it back to them and be intercepted along the way. They also would not refund my money. After days of dealing with their customer service dept., all they would offer me was a $15.00 refund which doesn't even cover the shipping costs.
Is there anything that can be done to recover my costs? Also Uggs Austalia should be notified that these people are misrepresenting their product and this web site should be declared fraudulent.
