On Jan. 20 I wanted to have the scratched lenses in my reading glass frames replaced. Lens Crafters said they could not use the frames and I needed to purchase entirely new frames and scratch-coated lenses which were $225. Since I first received the glasses a week later I have not been able to wear them at work all day because they were painful at my ears and nose and gave me headaches. I have to go back to my old scratched reading glasses.
I have gone back to Lens Crafters four times to have the glasses adjusted. None of the adjustments have solved all the problems. What remains is a raw inflamed spot on the right side of my nose where the glasses rub or weigh too heavily. I am convinced the problem is simply that the temple on the left side is firm and solid, while the temple piece on the right side moves up and down. Lens Crafters says they have no way of fixing that. I threatened to ask for a refund since they are unable to give me glasses that are not painful. We have misplaced the original receipt and they say they will not refund without it (altho the entire purchase is on their computers). They refuse to get me proper frames with solid temple pieces. They are very obviously taking advantage of me because I am a senior.
