I purchased a pair of glasses from Lens Crafters. With their 30 day love-em warranty I exchanged them.
I saw rainbows in the glasses so they had to correct that anyway. Well I recieved the new frames (I also had the Warranty) I hated them, wore them for a couple of weeks, they didn't feel good at all they slid down my face and rubbed a sore on my nose, they were titanium so the ear protection kept slipping, and ripped out my hair on the sides.
I asked to change them because they couldn't be corrected (without glue) they informed me that my original 30 days was up. No Way.
Being stuck with a pair of glasses I hated was bad enough. Then I proceeded to walk into a glass door, smashed my face and scratched my lenses.
I had the warranty, So I went back to Lens Crafters and I told them I had the warranty, I was informed that they only paid 70% (which they failed to mention) and that 1 side would cost $65.00, now I only paid a little over $400.00 for my glasses and the frames were around $163.00 but the $65.00 was 70% discount. So that means I paid around $415.00 for the lenses.
You can go anywhere and get lenses progressive tinted for $265.00 They Jack up the price and want you to pay some rediclious amount. Bad Business.
So now they lost a customer and I still have a pair of glasses that rip out my hair on the sides and can't see out of. I e-mailed the main store and their response was to contact the manager of the store. Like I didn't do that first.
Don't buy from Lens Crafters, they as of 01/01/07 have discontinued their useless warranty so dont worry about that.
PS this was all with a AAA discount.
