In December (like many others that I have heard about recently)
I was contacted by Olivia at All City Management Group and offered a proposal for sale of our timeshare in Mexico. At that time, I was a little leary as we have been taken before and did not want to be scamed again. She advised us that there was an escrow company involved to protect us from any fraud. We decided to proceed and was contacted by Jordan Walters from Realty Executives Escrow letting us know the buyer had deposited and opened up an excrow acct and everything was in place. We had to pay the closing cost of $2,670. Upfront and that we would get it reimbursed with the payout date of January 27th. We wired the $2,670. To a bank in Mexico to proceed with the transfer to the new owner. Then the beginning of January Olivia from All City Management Group called and advised us that there was some taxes that the Mexican Government had imposed (which amounted to $5,073.00) and that we would be responsible to pay this for the sale to proceed and that we would be reimbursed for these fees on the closing date above. We filled out all papers (transfer of ownership agreement that had customer satisfaction guarantee and returned to Jordan at Realty Executives Escrow and was told that if for some reason the buyer backs out before payout date that they would have to pay us a certain portion of the payout and we still keep our timeshare. The closing date came and went. We tried calling on the 27th and was told that the wires go out between 3 and 5 P.M. I was also told Jordan Walters was in meeting with the bank and not reachable at that time. The money was never deposited by wire into our bank account and after the 27th of January All City Management and Realty Executives Escrow would not answer their phones. We are filing a complaint with our local FBI and the Attorney General offices in Wisconson and Missouri. The FBI will enter this information into their system and link it up with other complaints with the same names. We need to try to recover our loses and put these type of people away.
