After buying an item from Tiger Direct was asked if I wanted a $10 rebate. Of course I said yes and was directed to TLG who said that for a $1.00 I would be given the rebate and other coupons. After being bullied into it after trying several times to say "NO", I just go with it with an option to cancel at any time for no penalty. I NEVER signed onto the website or even tried to use any of the "options". I just wanted it cancelled PERIOD.
A couple of days later I call and cancel it. They claimed they had emailed me stuff and mailed me coupons already. (I NEVER received ANYTHING from them.) They assured me it was cancelled and I would never have to deal with it.
Well, my bank statement comes in and not only did I get charged twice for the $1.00... But now I am being charged a monthly fee of $16.99. I know it does not sound like a lot of cash, but every penny counts to me. I do not like being ripped off no matter the amount. I am cancelling my debit card tomorrow.
