Back in April I got SUCKERED into a greatfun trail membership to save $20 on an order from DeepDiscountDVD.com.

I NEVER RECEIVED the $20 discount or rebate GreatFun was supposed to give me, and three days after I received the GreatFun membership info packet, I called their customer servece number and CANCELLED the membership.

At that time, the rep I talked to assured me that the cancellation WAS MADE during my free trial period, so since I had cancelled, I would NEVER be charged for the membership.

That was back around the last week of May, or first week of June.

I had been watching my bank account, and had never been charged by GreatFun...

UNTIL AUGUST 3 when GreatFun charged $9.99 to my checking account, which they received access to BY DeepDiscountDVD.com

When I called this morning to complain about the UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE, Despite my GreatFun membership coming up as "Cancelled or no longer valid" when I tried accessing it from their web-site, and tried using the "greatfun discount" at DeepDiscountDVD.com, I gave Brandy, the GreatFun "customer service representative" I talked AT this morning what she said would be the membership number from the bank statememt.

When she punched it into her system she said the account was still active, and INSISTED on keeping it active. She FINALLY took the hint and gave a NEW Cancellation code of HG860600908 and promised I would not be charged any more... But she claimed that "the only way we can issue any credit for fees already charged is if you give me your original cancellation code." Which I can no longer find...

Since they had not charged my bank account anything until MORE THAN THREE MONTHS after I had originally cancelled, I can no longer find the original cancellation code, and am pretty sure the original GreatFun info (including cancellation code) had probably been shredded over a month ago, since no charged had been taken from my bank account during the 2 - 3 months after having cancelled the membership.

So far GreatFun has RIPPED ME OFF at least TWICE!!!

First, they NEVER followed through with the promised $20 rebate for that first DeepDiscountDVD.com order...

Now, more than three month's AFTER I had cancelled my GreatFun membership, they charged me $9.99 for a membership that apparently THEY decided to RE-ACTIVATE without my knowledge OR consent.
