My fault the electric was turned off for none payment on Tuesday the 7th of February. As like most people that lost there jobs over the last 4 year I am also one of the lucky people. I work three jobs to keep my home car and have food on the table. I was told on Tuesday that once payment was made the power would be restored the same day due to the cold weather. I owed $591.00 which again was my fault for none payment. I called CL&P in the morning and was told as long as i make a payment today power woukd be restored the same day. I paid $600 today Febuary 10th at 1:00pm and when I called customer service they said there was no service personal in my area to turn on the power and since it is not freezing outside I would have to wait till Monday.
I understand it is my fault for none payment, but in good faith I begged borrowed and stole in order to restore my power today and now there excuse is it is not cold enough to turn it back on even though it is below freezing at night and a snow storm will be coming Saturday? Does anyone have anyone I can contact in the state of CT that can help resolve this matter today? I am sorry I understand that it is protocol for next day power restoration, but it is winter and it is freezing out!
