I was hired as a photojournalist, under a contracted commission based pay scale. After completing a month of work, driving around to different businesses all around San Diego, it came time for my paycheck. A week went by, with no check. After confronting my "boss" (Neil Strachten) by email, he paid me in a check.
I deposited the chck, the check bounced. His excuse was that he was in the hospital and needed to pay for medication. So another week went by, I was issued another check, it too bounced. After demanding my money, I was fired and told I would be arrested for tresspassing if I were to come to the office. I was also told that I would be sued for slander and libel, and to watch what I said about him.
I've sent numerous emails, filed a police report, as well as filing a wage claim with the California department of labor. I'm currently in the process of filing a small claims case against this dirtbag.
