I was a loyal customer to Walmart and now I never want to shop there again. 10 days before Christmas and my store pickup order was cancelled. I ordered the INNO TAB for my son and the IPOD TOUCH in white for my daughter at 10:30pm on 12/9 through Walmart.com. At 11pm a emailed was sent saying the orders were cancelled because the item was no longer in stock at that specified store for pickup. I was fine with that until I was told it would take about 10 business day's to get my refund. $297.00 was taken out of my account and 30 minutes later the order was cancelled. Christmas is 8 days away, I am a single mother, no credit cards and I don't have the funds to replace the money taken out of my account. I asked Walmart if they could help me out by keeping the money and shipping the items and basically got turned away with no help. My kids asked Santa Claus for these items, what do I tell my kids when Santa doesn't deliver? I am so disappointed in Walmart.com, Walmart customer service. I want to let future Walmart customers know that "site to store" pickup isn't a good option, inventory isn't always accurate and the outcome can be bad. I am very surprised Walmart couldn't do anything about this, since they have the items in stock to ship. I chose "site to store" because the Commack store pickup was available NOW. Wish now I had chosen ship! Earlier that day I traveled all over looking for these items and they were sold out everywhere, wishing that a store will get a shipment in on VTECH INNO TAB BLUE AND IPOD TOUCH 8G IN WHITE so when the funds are available I can make the purchase. If not. I will have very disappointed kids Christmas morning. BTW - I also bought warranties for both items totaling $37.00 and they can't refund me the money because they were emailed to me.
