Loan and finance direct offered us a loan of £10,000 pounds for home improvements, they constantly phoned me while i was in hospital and then when i got out. Theysent us an agreement via e mail stating that we had to make the above payment to barclays bank to a mr muhammed orhans account i stated we did not have a barclays bank so they told us to put it into the local tsb bank but gave no name. My husband was very reluctant but i thought they were genuine, they said the money would be in our account in an hour no money appeared, i constantly phoned them allm day but still no money. Around evening time they told me they had sent an e mail. It stated we had to pay a further £377 to get the loan. I was very angry and phoned them straight back, i told them i didnt have the money, they then said they would accept half of it, i said no, they finally said they would accept £100 but i still refused and demanded my original payment back but they were still trying to get me to pay the £100 and refused to give me my money. I have been in touch with consumers advice who are going to look into the matter and told me not to give them any more money, hopefully between them and this letter my money will be returned.
